【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusefulforthedeterminationofconcentrationsofmetalsinmanywastestreamsfromvariousnuclearandnon-nuclearmanufacturingprocesses.Thetestmethodisusefulforcharacterizingliquidwastesandliquidwastescontainingundissolvedsolidspriortotreatment,storage,orstabilization.Ithasthecapabilityforthesimultaneousdeterminationofupto26elements.TheapplicableconcentrationrangesoftheelementsanalyzedbythisprocedurearelistedinTable1.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftrace,minor,andmajorelementsinwastestreamsbyinductivelycoupledplasma-atomicemissionspectroscopy(ICP-AES)followinganaciddigestionofthesample.Wastestreamsfrommanufacturingprocessesofnuclearandnon-nuclearmaterialscanbeanalyzed.Thistestmethodisapplicabletothedeterminationoftotalmetals.Resultsfromthistestmethodcanbeusedtocharacterizewastereceivedbytreatmentfacilitiesandtoformulateappropriatetreatmentrecipes.Theresultsarealsousableinprocesscontrolwithinwastetreatmentfacilities.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicableonlytowastestreamsthatcontainradioactivitylevelsthatdonotrequirespecialpersonnelorenvironmentalprotection.1.3AlistoftheelementsdeterminedinwastestreamsandthecorrespondinglowerreportinglimitisfoundinTable1.1.4Thistestmethodhasbeenusedsuccessfullyfortreatmentofalargevarietyofwastesolutionsandindustrialprocessliquids.Thecompositionofsuchsamplesishighlyvariable,bothbetweenwastestreamtypesandwithinasinglewastestream.Asaresultofthisvariability,asingleaciddigestionschememaynotbeexpectedtosucceedwithallsamplematrices.Certainelementsmayberecoveredonasemi-quantitativebasis,whilemostresultswillbehighlyquantitative.1.5ThistestmethodshouldbeusedbyanalystsexperiencedintheuseofICP-AES,theinterpretationofspectralandnon-spectralinterferences,andproceduresfortheircorrection.1.6NodetailedoperatinginstructionsareprovidedbecauseofdifferencesamongvariousmakesandmodelsofsuitableICP-AESinstruments.Instead,theanalystshallfollowtheinstructionsprovidedbythemanufactureroftheparticularinstrument.Thistestmethoddoesnotaddresscomparativeaccuracyofdifferentdevicesortheprecisionbetweeninstrumentsofthesamemakeandmodel.1.7Thistestmethodcontainsnotesthatareexplanatoryandarenotpartofthemandatoryrequirementsofthemethod.1.8ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.9Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
