【摘要】:Understandingthemechanicalpropertiesoffrozensoilsisofprimaryimportancetopermafrostengineering.Datafromcreeptestsarenecessaryforthedesignofmostfoundationelementsembeddedin,orbearingonfrozenground.Theymakeitpossibletopredictthetime-dependentsettlementsofpilesandshallowfoundationsunderserviceloads,andtoestimatetheirshort-andlong-termbearingcapacity.Creeptestsalsoprovidequantitativeparametersforthestabilityanalysisofundergroundstructuresthatarecreatedforpermanentuse.Itmustberecognizedthatthestructureoffrozensoilinsituanditsbehaviorunderloadmaydiffersignificantlyfromthatofanartificiallypreparedspecimeninthelaboratory.Thisismainlyduetothefactthatnaturalpermafrostgroundmaycontainiceinmanydifferentformsandsizes,inadditiontotheporeicecontainedinasmalllaboratoryspecimen.Theselargeground-iceinclusions(suchasicelenses)willconsiderablyaffectthetime-dependentbehavioroffull-scaleengineeringstructures.Inordertoobtainreliableresults,high-qualityundisturbedrepresentativepermafrostsamplesarerequiredforcreeptests.Thequalityofthesampledependsonthetypeoffrozensoilsampled,theinsituthermalconditionatthetimeofsampling,thesamplingmethod,andthetransportationandstorageprocedurespriortotesting.Thebesttestingprogramcanberuinedbypoor-qualitysamples.Inaddition,onemustalwayskeepinmindthattheapplicationoflaboratoryresultstopracticalproblemsrequiresmuchcautionandengineeringjudgment.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthecreepbehaviorofcylindricalspecimensoffrozensoil,subjectedtouniaxialcompression.Itspecifiestheapparatus,instrumentation,andproceduresfordeterminingthestress-strain-time,orstrengthversusstrainraterelationshipsforfrozensoilsunderdeviatoriccreepconditions.1.2Althoughthistestmethodisonethatismostcommonlyused,itisrecognizedthatcreeppropertiesoffrozensoilrelatedtocertainspecificapplications,canalsobeobtainedbysomealternativeprocedures,suchasstress-relaxationtests,simplesheartests,andbeamflexuretests.Creeptestingundertriaxialtestconditionswillbecoveredinanotherstandard.1.3ValuesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
